[Interesting] They Tried To Keep This Place Hidden For Thousands Of Years, But This Secret Couldn’t Be Contained

You don’t really think about it, but China’s history goes back much farther than our own. In fact, it goes back so far that new civilizations and artifacts are constantly being discovered.

This incredible find was made deep inside the mountains of the Henan provenance of China. Believed to have been constructed by the Tang Dynasty in the 7th century, it contains treasures beyond our earthly reckoning.

On March 10th, the Royal Cave Temple will be opened to tourists.

It has been closed for years to protect the precious artifacts inside.

The entire mountainside temple is composed of over 2,300 individual caves.

The statues and wall carvings were created during the Tang dynasty (618 ACE).

They depict monks progressing on the Buddhist path of enlightenment.

Many of the caves were badly damaged during China’s Cultural Revolution between 1966 and 1976.

But they have all been lovingly restored so they can be appreciated in person once more.

Those pictures alone are so magical that I’m definitely adding this place to my bucket list. These wonders should be preserved forever so that every generation can enjoy them and appreciate the power of human history.
