PNP Chief Ronaldo “Bato” Dela Rosa is now searching for the names of the two policemen who were reportedly unhelpful to taxi scam victims after the driver made a quick exit from the incident.
Last Monday, during a press briefing, Dela Rosa it was reported to him that the policemen were inattentive and they were quite slow in taking action.
Bakit ganun yung ugali nila?” Dela Rosa said.
The victims, Janine and Jeffrey Reyes, were charged P3,600 by the taxi driver with a barker for a trip going to Cubao from NAIA. They went to a nearest police station to complain but the driver together with the barker ran away.
The mobile patrol that was used by the policemen was disclosed and have markings HPU4A and plate number SKA 945.
“Pagpapaliwanagin natin, pag hindi tayo satisfied sa explanation then tignan natin. Ang importante makilala sila,” Dela Rosa stated.
The policemen can face penalties for their negligence. Dela Rosa reported that, “Administrative [sanction] sa neglect of duty, grave neglect of duty trabaho nila yun eh. Ngayon ipatawag ko na, ipa-identify yung tao.”
