A Singapore resident was jailed for 1 year after sexually harassing and teasing a Filipina nurse in Singapore. According to the Filipina, it happened at the home of her patient at the Bukit Purmei housing estate. At first, she received a malicious text message from the son and one time when they were inside the house, the son kissed the back of her neck.
The son, who is a maritime boarding officer, has also touched her breast and has slapped her buttock a number of times. At first, the 26-year old nurse was ambivalent on whether or not to file charges of sexual harassment for the fear of losing her job. But when she received an offensive message from the son, she went straight to the police to report the incident.
The son was identified as Balakkrishnan. He reasoned out that he was just teasing the nurse and he poked her breast because he was irritated by the way she speaks Tagalog. He is now in jail for his "teasing."
