Exclusive - Witness Matobato Goes Viral On International Media After Having An Interview With New York Times!


“We fed one to a crocodile. Some we threw out into the sea.”

Self-proclaimed member of the Davao Death Squad, Edgar Matobato, confessed in the witness stand yesterday in front of a committee hearing that was broadcasted live on national television. 
Matobato admitted the crimes committed by the group, saying they were responsible for the killings of hundreds over the past two decades in Davao City. 
He also pointed to President Duterte, saying that he directed the extra-judicial killings of over 1,000 criminal suspects and political enemies when he was still Mayor of the city back then. 

It is not unknown to the international community, the harsh advocacy of the President to eradicate criminality especially drug lords, whatever the cost. 
USA President Obama has also called him out, saying that he should observe basic human rights. 

The committee hearing yesterday was led by Senator Leila De Lima, former chairwoman of Philippine Commission on Human Rights and former secretary of justice, slammed Duterte for “encouraging” the extrajudicial killings that has spiked dramatically since he sat down for Office. 
Matobato also confessed that the DDS was supposed to take a “hit” on her and ambush her, but did not push through because of some logistical 
He also confessed to Duterte’s commands of killing a spokesman for a vigilante group, the bombing of a mosque, and to avenge the 1993 bombing of a cathedral.

However, Mr. Duterte has long denied any direct knowledge of government-sanctioned death squads, and the Davao police say they have not found evidence that the squads exist.
