Exclusive - Daughter Of Former Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Rebukes The People Who 'Use' Lumads To Bring Down President Duterte

The daughter of the former Sadiganbayan Associate Justice Anacleto Badoy, Lorraine Marie Badoy gave her insight on the recent riot between authorities and indigenous people which took place in front of the Embassy of the United States.

On her Facebook account, Badoy wrote that she was sickened by the episode, claiming that it was done to bring down President Duterte.

“No matter if it is done in such a bumbling and blatantly cynical manner,” she said on her post.

She also said that simple-minded people are only divided into two: the pro- and anti- Duterte who both use fear and hate as weapons.

“And they wield these weapons and force a reframing of even the most sacred of events (death) and even the gravest of matters--- the patently unjust and cruel ways the US-imperialist-run State has treated our national minorities throughout history—to suit whatever nefarious political agenda they may have,” Badoy wrote.

Badoy said that she can’t wait to see the “unfolding of the picture because it is in the utmost interest of the IP that we do.”

“All I know is I stand solidly, squarely behind my brother and sister Lumad, my brother and sister Moro, and all our brother and sister minorities,” Badoy said as she mentioned that the people know who the real enemy is.

She also pointed her finger at the "people who use the IPs who plans to put down the President."

“This President—who has shown great care towards the IPs—like no other president before him has. Their one best shot at finally getting the justice that has eluded them for centuries,” Badoy said.
