Exclusive - Son of 'Habal-Habal' Driver in Mindanao Tops 2016 Mechanical Engineer Board Exam!

Another Mindanaoan has brought home the pride for the region of Cotabato as he topped the recent Mechanical Engineering Board Exam. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) was the one who posted the results last Friday, October 07, 2016.

Elso Umbao Elumbaring Jr. who graduated from Notre Dame University in Cotabato topped the results with a 90.15 percent grade! Elso is from Pinaring, Sultan Kudarat. His father is driver of the 'Habal-habal' and worked hard so Elso can go to college. But everything paid off when he didn't just passed the board exam but also topped the licensure exam.

Meanwhile, an alumna from Mindanao placed third in the same exam. Donato Lecera Juayang Jr. graduated from Mindanao State University in Marawi City. He got 89.35 pecent grade.

Out of 4,470 who took the exam, 3,110 passed while 40 out of 68 passed the Certified Plant Mechanic Licensure Examination. Here are the complete top 10 list released by the PRC.
