In a public Facebook post, journalist Ira Panganiban exposed the supposed plan of the past Aquino administration regarding the country’s transportation system.

According to the former ABS-CBN News reporter, the administration planned to give a Php 27 Billion incentive to two car companies in the country for them to manufacture 200,000 cars for the public instead of resolving current issues regarding the MRT and other mass transport systems. The supposed incentive was legalized through Executive Order 182, which was created during the Aquino administration.

The Executive Order was discussed during a session of the House committee on transportation regarding the Traffic Crisis Bill. The bill will grant emergency powers to President Rodrigo Duterte to address the traffic issues in the country.

Meanwhile, the transportation committee hearing headed by Rep. Cesar V. Sarmiento (Lone District, Catanduanes) will resume on November.
