Exclusive - Former President Fidel Ramos: Imelda Marcos Witnessed Everything!

Memories of Martial Law came flooding back after the controversial burial of former President and Dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani

The surprise burial prompted anti-Marcos groups and Martial Law victims to stand against the complete lack of respect shown by the Marcos Family regarding their past transgressions against the Filipino people.

In light of this recent controversy, former president Fidel V. Ramos broke his silence and demanded that former First Lady Imelda Marcos apologize on behalf of her family.

“But in terms of the apology that I requested, it was from the mother, the head of the family, who knew everything, including the beginning of martial law, the good years before martial law, including what must have happened in August 1983,” Ramos said.

In a recent interview with The Inquirer, Ramos claims that Imelda “knew everything”, even the assassination of political rival Benigno Aquino, Sr.

He also criticized Ferdinand and Imelda’s daughter, Imee Marcos, who claimed that she was “too young” to legally admit to the human rights violations and rampant corruption her family was accused of.

“That’s a funny story. When she (Imee) said that they were still young, in fact she said ‘maliliit pa kami ng mga bata’ in Tagalog, I know how old she is because she is one year older than my eldest daughter,” Ramos said during a press conference in Makati.

Protest rallies are popping up in different parts of the country, particularly in Metro Manila, and the biggest one will happen on the 25th and the 30th of November to be held at EDSA Shrine.
