The 12-year-old Gulay Girl, identified only as "Marian," sells vegetables for a living. She resides in Gordon Heights in Olongapo City, and is the eldest of a family of six.
In an episode of the ABS-CBN show hosted by Korina Sanchez, “Rated K” got to know more about this young lady and even gave her a makeover.
Netizens compared her to Liza Soberano, one of the most beautiful faces in showbiz right now.
“Gusto ko pong magpasaya ng mga tao at gusto ko ring ipakita ‘yung talent ko. Gusto ko rin pong makatulong sa pamilya ko,” she said.
Marian is the latest in a list of ordinary people who got their 15 minutes of fame through facebook; just like "Carrot Man" Jeyrick Sigmaton and "Badjao Girl" Rita Gabiola, who was one of the housemates of the current season of "Pinoy Big Brother."
