Exclusive - Jackie Chan 'Finally' Received His Oscar After Five Decades And 200 Films!

23 years ago, actor and martial arts star Jackie Chan was inspired to have his own Oscar when he saw the house of Sylvester Stallone.

Last Saturday, Jackie Chan finally received a little gold statuette at the annual Governors Awards.

Before, he was watching the ceremony with his parents. His father keeps on asking him why he didn’t have any of the prestigious award despite the movies he already done.

“After 56 years in the film industry, making more than 20 films, after so many bones, finally,” 62-year-old actor said ‘finally’ holding an Oscar Statue.

He also said that he is “proud to be Chinese” lauding his hometown. He also thanked his fans who continued in supporting him.

“I continue to make movies, jumping through windows, kicking and punching, breaking my bones,” Chan said.

Jackie Chan is famous in doing action and comedy films. One of his famous works is “Rush Hour” where he was paired with comedian Chris Tucker.

Tom Hanks even dubbed him as “Jackie ‘Chantastic’ Chan and even said that it was pleasing that Chan’s work was given an award because during the awards season, martial arts and action comedy was often neglected.
