Jean Garcia disclosed that Richard Yap, her co-star in Mano Po 7, wanted to do a love scene with her.
Garcia shared with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that Yap asked director Ian Lorenos why there was no love scene between him and Garcia, despite them playing a couple in the movie.
"Sabi pa nga niya kasi naglolokohan kami, "Direk, ba't ganun, wala kaming love scene ni Jean, e, kami ang mag-asawa 'tapos sila ni Jake [Cuenca], meron silang kissing scene?" Garcia said, with Yap referring to Jake Cuenca and Jean Garcia's movie 'The Escort'.
She also shared that Yap admitted that he had a crush on her and said that she is thankful for the attention.
"E, 'di siyempre thank you. Ikaw ba naman Richard Yap crush ka, why not, 'diba? Sabi ko naman, 'Thank you Richard and ikaw cute din.'"
She also explained that, in the movie, they argued a lot as a couple, which is why the love scene was so important. It would help depict that, despite their squabbles, they still loved one another.
"Parang gusto lang, para maipakita lang na nagkasundo naman yung mag-asawa. Kasi the whole film, 'di niya ako kinakausap, puro away," Garcia said.
"The whole film ay ganun, problem ng family, so sana nga ganun na parang meron kaming moment na romance, yung romantic moment namin," she added.
