The much-anticipated TV comeback of the "Queen of all Media" Kris Aquino was skipped by the President Rodrigo Duterte himself as he felt ill after his two-day visit in Malaysia.
Every thing was set as it is a one-on-one interview which was heavily advertised.
Originally, the interview will take place at the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Summit by GoNegosyo in Davao City. It will be Aquino's big return from her seven month break.
According to Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, the president had a very rough schedule.
"Talagang killer schedule eh..." said Lopez. "I was with him ever since the series of state visits and if you know really the schedule talagang one after the other, takbo na, convoy, meeting, takbo na naman, then the flight arriving late. I had the benefit of a three-hour sleep. Baka si Presidente, tuluy-tuloy pa iyong meeting niya pagbalik dito."
Though disappointed over president's non-appearance, Aquino stated a few funny messages to Duterte.
"Minsan ang mga first date hindi natutuloy," she said. "President Duterte pinaghandaan kita, nagdiyeta ako nang dalawang linggo."
She expressed that she is looking forward to talking and working with Duterte soon.
"President Duterte, please give me a chance. I hope one day mamahalin mo rin ako," she added.
