The recent sneaky burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos sparked various protests all over the country. Martial Law victims, politicians and surprisingly, students staged different movements to express their disagreement over the burial which was completely concealed from the public. However, this day, November 25, a huge protest was called at Luneta Park. Different groups united to voice out their extreme disgust for putting the remains of Marcos in a place meant for heroes.
One of them is journalist Atom Araullo who was very vocal in his opinions against the Marcos. Using his Twitter account with over 1.5 million followers, he urged those who disagree with the Marcos burial to join the protest. He posted: “Let’s tweet with our feet! #BlackFriday protest happens in Luneta at 4pm. Details in the attached photo,”
It can be recalled the Araullo also posted a series of tweets against Marcos when the Supreme Court favored the motion to give the late dictator a hero's burial. He also noted that Duterte had been complicit to what happened.
Meanwhile, another protest is set to happen on November 30, Bonifacio's Day.
