The recent controversial burial of former President and Dictator Ferdinand Marcos sparked numerous protests, deepening the divide between Marcos supporters and Marcos critics.
Martial law victims, social activists and students gathered in different parts of Metro Manila to express their disagreement.
Despite the legitimate gripes and concerns from the anti-Marcos side, some have accused the protesters of being 'bayaran', claiming they were paid by the Liberal Party, which Marcos supporters refer to as 'dilawan'.
These accusations have yet to be backed up by actual evidence and is merely expanding the rift between the two opposing groups.
Mocha Uson, a die-hard Duterte supporter, even argued that the Marcoses shouldn't be singled out, as the Aquinos also murdered innocents, referring to the Hacienda Luisita massacre wherein farmers protesting for fair wages and the rights to their land were shot by police.
She posted a video and captioned it with:
"Paalala natin ito sa mga DILAW nagka amnesia na ata sila. Masyadong nag mamalinis. Share nalang natin mga kaDDS.”
