Exclusive - The NBP Inmate Who Stabbed Jayvee Sebastian Claims That It Was Meant To Prevent Him From Testifying Against Senator Leila De Lima!

Tomas Doniña, the NBP inmate who stabbed convicted drug lord Jayvee Sebastian, claims that he was ordered to do so to prevent Sebastian from testifying against Senator Leila De Lima.

He claims to have received the order from a former colleague he worked with during his stint at the Philippine Navy.

According to Doniña’s affidavit from the CIDG that was read during a House of Representatives Justice Committee on Wednesday,

"Sa kadahilananng may kumausap sa kanya na isang dati niyang kasamahan sa Philippine Navy na dapat ay gawan niya ng paraan para mapatahimik at mapatay si Jaybee Sebastian para hindi siya makapagsalita laban kay Ma'am Leila de Lima ukol sa paglaganap ng droga sa NBP,"

De Lima claims that Sebastian was coerced into accusing her. She also claimed that he was a government asset who was supposedly helping authorities in the fight against illegal drugs.

Sebastian denied her allegations.

De Lima is being charged with violating “Section 3 of the Anti Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (Republic Act 3019; Section 5 of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (Republic Act 6713); the Anti Torture Act (Republic Act 9745); An Act Punishing the Receiving and Giving of Gifts of Public Officials and Employees (Presidential Decree 46) and indirect bribery.” According to GMA News Online.

Former Bureau of Corrections chief Ricardo Rainier Cruz and former NBP head Richard Schwarzkopf Jr. are also being charged.
