Facebook page Wander Lust added 6 new photos showing the new Davao del Norte to Bukidnon road which is said to lessen the travel time to 2 and a half hours. The people behind the construction of the road are the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Local governments of Davao and Bukidnon.
The facebook post was captioned:
"NEW DAVAO DEL NORTE-BUKIDNON ROAD CUTS TRAVEL TIME IN HALF
The Kapalong-Talaingod-Bukidnon Road is finally open. Our friend Ses Desesto-Trino recently traversed through the scenic highway and travelled from Tagum City, Davao del Norte to Valencia City, Bukidnon in just 2 1/2 hours.
The alternate road to the Davao-Calinan-Bukidnon Road cuts by half the travel time between Davao del Norte and Bukidnon. It connects the towns of Talaingod in Davao del Norte and San Fernando in Bukidnon.
The total length of the new highway is about 56 kilometers.

In 2010, this road also caused some problems for the local government as building the highway took a toll on their forests and presented several security issues in relation to its remote location.
