Exclusive - PNP Chief Bato Dela Rosa will be starring in an advocacy film! Is he going to be the next big thing in Showbiz?

Is Philippine National Police Chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa set to be the next big thing in Philippine Showbiz?

Known as the tough, macho head of the PNP who is not scared of doing anything in the fight against drugs, he will soon be seen on the big screen in Daniel Razon's "Isang Araw, Tatlong Yugto."

The film, written and directed by Razon, is an advocacy film in support of police forces. Dela Rosa was very thankful for being included in the project.

"Masaya, at least through this picture, maiparating natin sa taongbayan ang gusto nating iparating na mensahe. Malaking karangalan itong pagkakataong ibinigay niyo sa akin," he said in an interview with UNTV.

Dela Rosa also praised the movie’s themes, which are meant to help raise morale among the police force. He also believes that it would help change the police's public image from that of being corrupt and needlessly violent to that of being helpful public servants.

Although Dela Rosa will debut without any prior acting experience, he said that he is merely portraying a genuine image of his works and words as the PNP chief.

"Actually, I was not acting. I'm just doing what I am just doing. My daily routine, my daily activities. I'm just being me and my normal self," he said.

He also added that this is a film that would encourage everyone to join the police's war against drugs and claimed that it is not meant to be propaganda.

The release date of the movie is not yet announced.
