Exclusive - US President-Elect Donald Trump Promises He Won’t Take A Single Dollar From $400,000 Presidential Salary!

President-elect Donald Trump has promised that he will not accept the presidential salary of $400,000, saying that it’s “no big deal for me”.

"I won't take even one dollar. I'm totally giving up my salary if I become president," Trump said in a short video posted to his Twitter account as part of a question-and-answer session at Twitter's New York headquarters.

In the same video, Trump claimed that his campaign was self-funded. However, shortly after this interview, he started a fundraiser for both himself and his Republican National Committee.

The US Code says on its website: 'The President shall receive in full for his services during the term for which he shall have been elected compensation in the aggregate amount of $400,000 a year, to be paid monthly, and in addition an expense allowance of $50,000 to assist in defraying expenses relating to or resulting from the discharge of his official duties.'

The Associated Press declared Trump as the president-elect at 2:30 AM eastern time on Wednesday, becoming one of the most stunning political upsets in history.

Clinton was highly-favored to win the election, with analysts predicting Trump to win with just 1% chance.
