If you haven’t yet visited South Africa, especially Cape Town, you may be still in the dark. This city has so much to offer to its visitors, and it’s one of the cities that have been attracting many tourists to South Africa.

What activities are there in Cape Town that makes it attractive to visitors? Actually, it’s a city that provides so many adventurous options to its tourists.
One of Cape Town’s most recognized landmarks is Table Mountain. This mountain is situated right in the middle of the south side of the city. Its name came from its shape, which is flat on top.

Furthermore, Table Mountain is classified as one of the “New7Wonders of Nature.” There’s a very rigorous and long process before this recognition is given.
It states on their website that “It took millions of votes and several years to achieve this recognition. The New7Wonders of Nature campaign began back in 2007, when people from around the world could choose any natural wonder to be considered.”
It took five years and 500 million votes to see the Table Mountain among the wonders of nature. Being able to earn such recognition ensures people that it’s a place that’s worth visiting.
Some other things to do in Cape Town
Where you would run out of things to do in some other cities, Cape Town doesn’t allow that. Don’t think you’ll be able to stay in your hotel room without having any more fun things to do.

It’s not only a peaceful and beautiful beach; it’s also an attractive spot for the African penguins. As a tourist, you’ll definitely feel the urge of snapping some pictures of those creatures playing around on the sand.
Visit Robben Island
What’s so fascinating about Robben Island? Not only it’s a beautiful island, it’s most known for being the place where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his life in prison. Many other political leaders of the South African political parties (PAC and ANC), were along side of Mandela in prison there.
As you’re touring that prison, one of the persons who are guiding you could be an ex-political prisoner from there. That could make your experience even better as you would listen to this history first hand.
This trip will take you half of a day and the tour consists of the island and the prison. The ferry doesn’t cost much either; it’s only R320 which is equivalent to $22. The experience you’ll have from this tour is priceless, although the cost is very minimal.
South Africa is a country where visitors enjoy visit during their vacation time. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why this country is so loved by tourists. Cape Town is one city that you should visit if you haven’t done so yet. You’ll definitely be amazed to see all the beauty that this city has to offer and your experience will be incomparable.
