Exclusive - 3 Thugs Attempts To Rob An Uber Driver, One Gets Killed By The Driver Who Is An Off-Duty Cop

Tragedy struck these three armed robbers, as they picked the wrong Uber driver to mess with and got exactly what was coming for them.

Their supposed victim turned out to be an off-duty cop who was working on Uber as his day-off job.

A CCTV footage caught the whole robbery fiasco on record. Still with his passenger on his way to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the driver Namique Anderson was cut off by a Dodge Caravan on the William Lehman Causeway.

Kevin DeVincent Johnson, 24, got out of the van with a gun in hand, but after a brief scuffle killed by Anderson. Johnson never got off a shot.

Aventura police said that they believe Johnson and another man who was in the van, whom they now have in custody, had committed an armed robbery in Broward County about an hour earlier.
This man was arrested fled with the van when Johnson was shot, but police found the van an hour later after receiving a tip.

Aventura police spokesman Chris Goranitis said that the driver acted in self-defense, and will not be faced with chargers.

However, the ride-app  Uber might be pressing charges because they have a law against drivers who carry firearms on their vehicles.

The place where it happened, Aventura, is a coastal suburb between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

In the US, many incidents of killings by self-defense have been reported over the past year and alarmed many citizens.

Just one month after Thanksgiving, Florida police has reported 4 cases of shootings for self-defense.
