Exclusive - China to Ship Firearms to the Philippines, Payable in 25 years! READ HERE!

In a speech delivered by President Duterte during his visit to Armed Forces of the Philippines' Northern Luzon Command at Camp Aquino in Tarlac City, he announced that the firearms ordered from China are ready for shipping. This is after the US announced that they will stop the selling of 26,000 rifles to Manila

"China is pressing me na andiyan na ang armas. Tatangapin ko na eh. Apurado sila," President Duterte said.

"Nagkakahiyaan na. Andiyan na ang armas. Gusto na nila ibigay... Mabibigay na iyan. So its obvious na ang China, gusto magbigay sa atin," he added, explaining that the firearms are payable within 25 years.

"That is practically giving," he noted. He did not detail the specifics of the deal, however, as to how much and how many will be shipped.

He also explained that it would be Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana who will finalize the deal since he is busy. "Marami pa akong gagawin. Sabi ko na lang kay Defense secretary, sabi ko puntahan mo sila at kunin mo na. I suppose we would send some general to receive," he said.

Meanwhile, Senator Ben Cardin of the United States continues to oppose the selling of firearms in the Philippines due to alleged human rights violations.
