Exclusive - EXPOSED: Police Official Admits To Receiving Php 100,000 Cash Bonus From President Duterte!

According to an article published by Inquirer.net, a police executive confirmed that cash gifts were distributed among high-ranking cops and he is one of the recipients. This confirmation was made hours after Malacañang denied the issuance of cash bonuses.

An anonymous police official stated that he claimed a cash bonus from President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, as instructed by PNP Chief Director Ronald 'Bato' Dela Rosa.

"It’s true. They’ve given it to us yesterday,” the official confirmed via phone call.

He said that the cash was placed inside an envelope which claimed at the office of PNP Chief Dela Rosa in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Before the confirmation, Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella denied the Christmas bonus for the officials and the cash "has not been given and is apparently, not forthcoming.”

Dela Rosa also denied that cash bonuses have been distributed among them. When the media asked where the budget for the cash gifts came from, he claimed they had to wait for the bonus. Because of the uncertainty of the bonus, Dela Rosa then said that the administration will issue them a sack of rice as substitute.

"Sabi ng Malacañang, ‘Sige hintay lang kayo, maghanap pa kami ng pera. Baka bago mag New Year bigyan ko kayo ng tig-isang sako ng bigas" Dela Rosa said during a Christmas event held at the PNP Grandstand in Camp Crame.

This issue stirs controversy as the issuance of the cash bonus is considered a violation of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials. In addition, Dela Rosa refused to reveal where the fund came from.

"Definitely it’s not allowed by law that’s why they are denying it," the Inquirer’s source said.

Meanwhile, some junior officials and non-commissioned police officers who are not eligible to receive the bonuses claimed that the funds should be spent on the improvement of police equipment instead of distributing it to high-ranking officials.
