Exclusive - Sen. Lacson Calls On Gov't To Take Action On Alarming Daily Executions.

About 6 months into his Presidential term, Rodrigo Duterte's admin has undeniably been able to make drastic changes. However, vigilante killings continue to haunt his administration as about 6,000 had been killed since he launched war against drugs. 4,000 of which are believed to be killed by unidentified vigilante groups.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson appealed to the administration to come up with an efficient strategy to combat these group or else the blame will be focused on them.

“For someone like me who’s not a human rights advocate to get worried about the daily killings, something very wrong must be going on,” the former PNP chief posted on his Twitter.

“I would advise General (Ronald) dela Rosa to form a special task force composed of intelligence and investigative personnel to address this particular issue,” he then said in an interview.

“Sa ngayon masyadong maliit yung percentage ng solution. We want to see more vigorous, more vigilant effort on the part of the PNP, the NBI and the entire government,”

“If we talk of 6,000, that’s 4,000. Wala pa tayong six months, di ba?” he pointed.

“Yung iba nag surrender na sa Tokhang tapos napapatay pa. It doesn’t speak well of peace and order efforts of PNP,”

“Hihintayin pa ba natin na magkaroon ng maraming pressure from within… from the outside tungkol sa nagyayaring death under investigation?”
