Exclusive - This 40-Year-Old Man Enrolled As A Grade 1 Pupil: 'Ang Edukasyon, Sobrang Importante Talaga.' INSPIRING!

This story proves that education isn't limited to any age. Meet Jay Calivoso who hails from Laoag City. He is 48 years old but this didn't stop him from enrolling as a grade 1 student at the Amarosa Elementary School

According to him, he stopped schooling before because he was born with polio.

However, over the years, he realized the importance of education. For instance, as a vegetable seller, many people have stolen money from him because he didn't know how to count. Now he is determined to finish his studies, using his cousin's bicycle which he uses to reach the school. His Aunt, Grace Agilam expressed how proud she is of Jay:

Meanwhile, the school's principal, Joel Remigio said: “Source of inspiration namin dahil siya ay isa mga nagbigay ng inspirasyon para ma-value ang education despite his disabilities and of his age. Talagang nakaka-inspire. ”
