Despite Vice President Leni Robredo’s numerous supporters, there are still those who loathe her and have been slamming her publicly. She is often the target of online trolls who are fanatically loyal to the Duterte administration and the Marcos regime.
She recently resigned from President Duterte's cabinet due to a text ordering her to cease attending cabinet meetings.
Jojo A Robles, one of The Standard’s columnists, wrote an open letter to the Vice President, accusing her of publicity stunts as part of her campaign for the presidency. He even called out VP Robredo for commenting on the issues of Aleppo Syria, which was a tragedy felt by the entire world.
He also accused her of hiring PR advisers, something all public figures do.
He then slammed her by saying she is getting paid by the people and that she should work for the people in return. He is seemingly unaware of Vice President Robredo’s numerous acts of generosity and goodwill.
