Stef Sanjati from Toronto, Canada shared her experiences when she underwent Facial Feminisation Surgery on her YouTube Channel.
Stef underwent a drastic Facial Feminisation Surgery which costs $45,000. She set up a GoFundMe campaign to help her achieve her dream of having a recognizably feminine facial appearance. Her surgery aims to soften male features, turning them feminine. The gruesome surgery includes a brow lift, rhinoplasty, cheek implantation, and lip augmentation.
Additionally, the 20-year old Canadian will also undergo Sexual Realignment Surgery which will change her manhood into female genitalia.
Before she underwent the surgery, she explained that she had to spend 5 hours in front of the mirror putting on make-up just to achieve her desired look. “It is time for me to undertake my gender confirming surgeries,” she said.
She shared every phase of her transformative journey in a video she uploaded on her Youtube channel. There are pictures showing how the surgery damaged her face leaving it bleeding, swollen, broken and bruised. However, she said that it really made her happy and grateful.
Now that all of her wounds have healed, she has finally achieved her desired look.
Stef successfuly raised $32,000 from her GoFundMe campaign and added her own $13,000. Thousands of her supporters donated and helped her achieve her goal.
“Undergoing FFS and SRS would vastly improve my mental health. I would love to share the experience with all of you, so that people can learn about gender confirmation surgeries and what they mean to transgender people. They are not as simple as feeling better about the curve of our nose, it is much larger than that. These surgeries are about feeling like you, every day, when you wake up in the morning – before cinching, pulling, and covering every inch of your body with body shapers, tape, and cosmetics. They’re about recognising yourself in the mirror and feeling like living going outside, is possible, and not something to dread.” Stef said on her blog.
