Recently, this 5-year old from Philippine Christian School of Tomorrow became a trending online sensation. He was videotaped singing our national anthem, Lupang Hinirang, in their school's flag ceremony wholeheartedly, with eyes closed, a firm hand on his left chest.
The video became trending since it was evident that the child sang the national anthem with emotions, understanding and mastery- a trait that even adult Filipinos nowadays lack.
Netizens were thrilled upon seeing the child, the comments section was filled with lots of praises and compliments for the child.
"Sobrang ramdam na ramdam mo ang pag-awit. Ang galing!" a Facebook user commented.
Another one said, "Maganda ang pagpapalaki sa batang ito. Dapat ma-proud ang mga magulang niya."
The child continues to trend as more and more Filipino people are inspired and amazed by his simple gesture of respect towards the national anthem. A clear example that today's generation still has hope and can still lead us towards a better future.
