In an interview in ABS-CBN's TV Patrol, Vice President Leni Robredo shared her opinions over the controversy surrounding her "easing out" from President Rodrigo Duterte's presidential cabinet.
VP Robredo has expressed her concerns over the 'turn of events.' Robredo believes that this may be part of bigger plot to remove her from her position as vice president and install Bongbong Marcos as VP in her stead.
Robredo says she supports many policies created by President Duterte. However she vocally opposes certain other policies that the president has greenlit. Particularly the extrajudicial killings, the passing of the death penalty law, and the lowering of the age of criminal liability.
She says she has no ambitions to take the presidency and asks the public to instead look towards her rivals' ambitions.
