Edcell Ched didn't expect to become instantly famous after a netizen, Jesse Carls, posted stolen shots of her while she was on her duty in Jolibee Navotas. Carls shared the said photos on Twitter, noting that she looked like the Hollywood Actress Chloë Grace Moretz. In the span of two days, it already garnered 3,200 shares and 41,000 reactions!
"Customer po siya nung gabi. Naaalala ko po siya kasi nagpa-picture po talaga siya sa akin na kaming dalawa lang. Tapos ang pinost niya po ay 'yung stolen," Ched shares. However, it was not until people started noticing their resemblance that she searched who the Hollywood actress is.
"Mula po noong dumami na ang nagsabi sa akin na kamukha ko siya, tinignan ko siya sa Internet. Then pinanood ko na po 'yong mga movies niya," she said and added that it was "Kick-Ass" and "If I Stay" that caught her attention.
But everything got more surprising when Moretz herself tweeted the photos and captioned it with: "WHOAAAA we do look very like".
"Siya nga din po mismo nagulat. Nakaka-proud po kasi napansin niya po tayong mga Pilipino. Maski po siya nag-agree na we do look very alike. Nakakatuwa po, nakakakilig,"Ched shared.
"Mayroong Jollibee sa ibang bansa, baka gusto niyang i-try," she added.
Ched is now in her final year at the City of Malabon University taking Early Childhood Education.
"Gusto ko pong magturo talaga. Gusto ko ng mga bata, gusto ko lang kasama sila. Gusto kong naririnig 'yong mga bata na nagsasabing 'teacher, teacher.'"
Meanwhile, Ched is the breadwinner of the family and is supporting herself in her education. She shared that opportunities would come in the showbiz industry, she would gladly take it, to help her family.
"Self-supporting po talaga ako. 'Yung mama ko, wala po siyang trabaho, and 'yung kapatid ko, married na po siya. Kaya po kailangan kong magtrabaho dito sa Jollibee. Dito po talaga 'yung pinagkukunan ko ng pang-aral," she said.
"Pagka naman po may magandang opportunity, okay lang po. Basta ang gusto ko lang 'yong sa pamilya ko, na madala ko sila sa mas magandang buhay po."
