We all know that stars go through a lot when taping and shooting films and television shows. They are able to do scenes that may require them to go beyond their limits or boundaries to come out more experienced and better as artists.
In Angeline Quinto's case, however, she was lucky enough to have one challenging scene-- kissing one of ABS-CBN's hottest, sexiest men, Jake Cuenca. PEP reported that the scene is one of the highlights of the film "Foolish Love."
The movie is produced by Regal Entertainment Inc. and directed by Joel Lamangan. It is a romantic comedy that had its press conference last January 12 in the Valencia Events Place, San Juan City.
The director suggested to Angeline that she had to put her all in the scene so that they wouldn't need to reshoot it. According to the actress-singer, it is the first time in her whole acting career that she had a torrid kissing scene with the leading man of the film.
"Sa totoo lang nag-alangan ako siyempre, kasi ayoko naman na tanggapin ang pelikula na hindi ako kumportable. Unang-una, laging inilalatag sa amin kung ano ang takbo ng istorya at kung ano ang magiging role ko," she said.
Angeline stated that she initially approached her manager, Erickson Raymundo, when she found out about the intense kissing scene.
"After nun, kay Direk Joel na, huwag raw akong mag-alala kasi hindi naman niya ako pababayaan sa mga eksenang ipapagawa niya sa akin."
The actress-singer is widely known for her wholesome, sweet image so the movie's kissing scene is a big leap to her career as an altogether developing actress.
When asked if her role in the movie was a whole new starting point for her, she stated "Hindi naman po, siguro masasabi ko lang din hindi rin naman po masama kung subukan ko yung mga bagay na hindi ko pa na-try."
When the topic of her intensely kissing Jake Cuenca was brought up, Angeline had readily exclaimed, "Ang sarap pala! Matamis!"
