Exclusive - Awra Briguela Cries Foul Over Backlash On Maxine Medina Grammar Issue

The approaching Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines is swiftly becoming the talk of the town.

However, Philippine's bet Maxine Medina faced controversy as some netizens expressed their disapproval for a grammar mistake she committed in an interview. Since then, she has been at the receiving end of criticism and bashing from netizens.

Fortunately, many still expressed full support for the candidate and among these is child star Awra Briguela.

Asked about the issue, the young comedian-actor shared his excitement for the upcoming pageant.

He even admitted feeling hurt for Maxine due to the hate she had been receiving on social media.

According to the young star, as Filipinos we should support Maxine rather than bash her.

Bakit kailangan pang-i-bash?"

He even emphasized that he would not support any other candidates aside from the Philippines bet.

"Wala na, wala na. Philippines lang talaga."

He even praised Maxine saying she is "brainy, matalino, magaling mag-walk."

He hoped to watch the pageant if given the opportunity.

Awra said in jest.
