The Christmas and New Year season is supposed to be one of merriest holidays in Filipino tradition. However this isn't always the case with every family.

In Bagacay, Panay, Capiz, one unfortunate family has to overlook the idea of celebrating due to their poor living conditions, their lack of finance to even buy a decent meal.

According to the unnamed netizen who shared their photos, the family hasn't eaten in a while; so much so that when they were given food, they quickly took it.

Sadly, this 'Isang kahig, isang tuka' story is only one out of the millions of other Filipinos who suffer from poverty and is in dire need of the government's assistance.
