Exclusive - Julia Montes to Leave ABS-CBN To Replace Kylie Padilla in Encantadia? FIND OUT HERE!

Following Julia Montes’ success in the noontime TV drama series ‘Doble Kara’, rumors saying she is about to transfer to rival network, GMA, to play her dream role are circulating. 

‘Doble Kara’ started airing in August 24, 2015. Julia’s dual portrayal of the twins, Kara and Sara, has earned her two ‘Gawad Tanglaw’ awards for best actress two years running. The show continues to perform well by raking in the ratings and it is well-received by the audience and critics alike. 

As the show nears its end, rumors are going around that she is about to leave ABS-CBN, her home network since she was a child star, to appear in GMA's popular fantaserye Encantadia.

This rumor came about after Kylie Padilla announced that she was about to leave the show due to her pregnancy and the character of ‘Amihan’ has been written off of Encantadia. The rumors claim that the the character of ‘Amihan’ will make a comeback and will be portrayed by Julia Montes.

The rumors didn’t’ sit quite well with some netizens and a debate raged all across social media.

Montes recently left her long-time talent agency Star Magic which she has been with since her ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ days. She transferred to Cornerstone Entertainment and explained the move was necessary for her career. 

"Mayroon lang kailangan move na gawin. Kung ano mayroon ako ngayon, lahat iyon ay dahil sa mga taong nakasama ko, nag-guide sa akin, lahat ng tumulong sa akin from the very start. So walang nagbago doon." she said in an interview.

Meanwhile, the rumors regarding Julia’s potential move to GMA have yet to be confirmed and she hasn’t released any statements addressing them.
