65th Miss Universe, Dayanara Torres, winner of the prestigious pageant on 1993. is finally here in the Philippines, to serve as a judge. ABS
ABS-CBN News confirmed the news with Paula Shugart, President of Miss Universe. Torres arrived on Monday.
ABS-CBN News also reported that Torres is "back with Manila Genesis as one of its talents."
The Miss Universe 1993 visited the Philippines on 1994 to crown the winner of the pageant. She also became part of the Filipino Movie Basta't Kasama Kita with Aga Muhlach as her leading man in the said film.
According to PhilStar.com, Torres said that it is the best time for her to go back to her 'second home', the Philippines.
"It's the perfect time to get back to the country I love so much and keep very dear to my heart. I knew I had to be there," Dayanara said.
Dayanara also gave some tips for the contestants of the prestigious pageant.
“Be confident and show your personality! It is a beauty pageant, but it is not judged only on that. Confidence will get you much further than what physical beauty will ever get you to," Torres told PhilStar.
