Exclusive - OOPS! Inquirer Confuses Miss Universe Bet Maxine Medina with Coco Martin

The Miss Universe pageant may be over, but we may have already witnessed Maxine Medina's winning - or rather "twinning" -  moment on Twitter.

Netizen maartist.md retweeted Inquirer.net on January 27 at 8:54 am, pointing out that the account used Coco Martin's photo as a thumbnail in one of its stories about Maxine Medina titled, "Maxine aiming for back-to-back Miss Universe victory for PH".

The picture is actually a screenshot from one of the episodes of Coco's primetime action series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano". In the episode, Coco Martin a.k.a. Cardo, had to go undercover as Paloma, a beauty pageant contestant to find the suspect behind the kidnapping of Carmen (Bella Padilla).

Just February last year, a fifteen-year old girl from Bukidnon broke the internet for being the "real life Paloma".

Jhanica Jiminez' resemblance to Coco Martin's uncercover character was so uncanny that she was featured in several TV shows, including GMA's Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

Now that we look at it, Maxine and Coco do kind of look alike. Could they be each other's celebrity doppelgangers?
