Exclusive - SHOCKING! Fishes Fell Out Of The Sky In Agusan Del Sur! SEE IT HERE!

Do you know that fishes fell out of the sky in the province of Agusan Del Sur?

According to Kami, residents of the said province were absolutely surprised when they saw fishes, instead of rain, falling from the sky.

In the morning of January 13 last 2012, people living in Poblacion village in Loreto were shocked when dozens of mudfish 3 inches long started falling down towards their direction.

They thought that it was the end of the world, but PAGASA-Butuan Chief Engr. Lolit Binalay claimed that it was not the first time fished had fell out of the sky—it also happened in Lake Mainit in Agusan del Norte a few years ago.

It had occurred in Powys, Wales in 2004 and in Folsom, California last 2006. American scientist Nilton Renno said that the phenomenon is called “Lluvia de Peces,” where whirlwinds over water turn into waterspouts which carry with it the water’s contents, including fish.

He said that fishes tend to “fly” into the sky with the waterspout. They can swim in the clouds and come down when the wind can no longer support them, hence the raining of fishes.

In the event, 72 fishes survived from falling out of the sky and was brought by a personnel of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources to an aquarium for further studies.

BBC also debunked the locals’ belief, saying that “fish are the most common thing to have rained down on you — other than rain itself, of course.”

GMA also made a report about it.
