Exclusive - SHOCKING! Here Is The Real Reason Why Pepe Herrera Left 'Ang Probinsyano!'

Fans all over the country were shocked when Benny, the character of Pepe Herrera, had to die in last Monday's episode of  'Ang Probinsyano.'

The show's episode featured Benny having to sacrifice his life for Cardo, whom he owed because Cardo was able to help him get away from his crime-filled past.

Coco Martin said in an interview during the thanksgiving party for "The Super Parental Guardians" last Tuesday that Herrera had to leave the show as he was preparing to move out of the country with his mother.

Martin said, "Honestly, si Pepe kasi aalis siya papuntang New Zealand kasama iyong mommy niya. And then iyon, nagpaalam nga siya sa amin na kung pu-puwede sana eh i-exit na siya from the show."

Herrera had initially asked to be cut off from the show last December, but Martin had persuaded the actor to stay for a few more weeks so that they could properly send off his character.

Martin continued, "Ayaw ko naman na bigla ka na mawawala doon sa show. So ayun, maganda naman naging reaksyon ng mga tao."

Herrera expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew of the show on his Instagram account, saying "Ang dami kong gustong pasalamatan, halikan, yakapin, at awatin."
