After years of being separated, actress Sunshine Cruz admitted she has found happiness in the new beginning of her showbiz and personal life.
In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), the 38-year old actress admitted that her three daughters Angelina, Samantha and Francheska are having a smooth relationship with her new love partner, Macky Mathay.
The actress recalled that prior to Macky's first meeting with her children, she can already sense that her daughters really like Ara Mina's half-brother. She revealed that her daughters were excited to meet Macky.
Sunshine shared Macky's first meeting with her daughters. She said that they surprised her kids on a lunch out after Macky fetched her from the airport. She told PEP that she made her children go to Alabang Town Center where they are waiting. When her kids arrived, they were surprised to see Macky in the flesh for the first time. Sunshine recalled how happy her children were.
"Nagulat sila talaga and they were of course happy. And ngayon naman, so far so good. They’re really close to Macky." Sunshine told PEP.
Although it took some time before her daughter met his new boyfriend, Sunshine said that Macky's personality contributed to her daughter's fondness of him.
"Ang bait e, mabait naman na tao kasi, kaya mabilis rin gumaan ang loob ng mga anak ko sa kanya."
Sunshine, who has separated from former husband Cesar Montano in 2013 was reported to have been having a romantic relationship with Macky Mathay who has also separated from former wife Camille Farinas. Their relationship was confirmed by Macky in an exclusive interview with PEP in October last year.
The two spent the holidays together. In an Instagram post, Sunshine's daughter Angeline shared a picture of their family with Macky and his two sons, Roan and Colin.
