Exclusive - Sunshine Dizon Withdraws Criminal Charges Against Estranged Husband Timothy Tan

Sunshine Dizon, still in the spirit of the holiday season, channeled peace and understanding for her estranged husband as she filed an affidavit of desistance withdrawing criminal charges against Timothy Tan.
What a way to start the year.
She submitted this letter to the Quezon City Prosecutors Office. Sunshine told the media that she had good intentions for the desistance and that it was all for her children.
"Ang pinaka-pwede ko na lang ibigay ay 'yung gawan ko ng paraan na hindi masira 'yung relasyon ng mga anak ko sa tatay nila so that's why we filed the desistance already," she told reporters.
She also expressed sadness because of the fact that her children could never have a complete family anymore. She said that as a mother, it broke her heart to see her children go through these things.
Sunshine filed for a violation of Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 and concubinage case against Timothy after finding out that he had an affair. Recently, Timothy issued a public apology to Sunshine, which the latter accepted in the spirit of Christmas.
She made it clear that her fight is still not over as she “owes it to [herself] to [be] free” and will push through with the annulment of her marriage to Tan. She also said that she doesn’t plan on reconciling with her alienated husband.
