Talent programs cater to a wide variety of skills. Many people can sing and hit high notes, a lot can dance gracefully or act with full emotions. However, in order to stand out, one should show something that is entirely different.
One great example of this would be the gimmick used by this singer to catch the attention of the judges.
In this particular leg of Britain's Got Talent 2015, a contestant named Luis shocked the audience and the panel of judges with his all-out performance. But take note, Luis did not come on stage alone. He did his performance with the help of his friends, which everyone did not expect.
Luis went on the stage with full confidence and started to hit his first note. His initial performance immediately blew some of the judges away. In the middle of his act, Luis lost his microphone signal and showed everbody that something was going wrong. Moments later, a group of four 'technical crew members' went on the stage to fix the problem. To everybody's surprise, the crew members suddenly started dancing and entertaining the wild audience while Luis excellently hit his notes again as if nothing happened.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Williams were all impressed by the surprising performance. Simon Cowell, who is known for being meticulous, commended the group for their acting skills which was completely effective. The judges sealed their performance 'yes' all around which qualified the group for the talent show's next round.
Although the group was not able to bag the 2015 Britain's Got Talent title, they were still successful in creating their own history in the show's live auditions.
