The country of India has always had a fascination with and a reverence for animals. Their belief that cows are sacred prevents those of the Hindu faith from eating beef. This particular woman has taken that fascination with animals to another level.
This woman from India owns a python, a large snake that can grow up to 16 feet long. Her pet in particular is 4 meters in length, approximately 13 feet long.
She cares a lot for her strange pet, that’s why she was concerned when it suddenly stopped eating. She tried to get her snake to eat, but to no avail. To find out the cause of its sudden loss of appetite, she brought it to the vet to get it checked out.
The vet examined the snake and asked the woman, “Does your snake sleep with you at night, wrap around you closely and spread out throughout its length?”
The woman answered, “Yes, yes! It does it every day and it makes me so sad because I see it asking something of me, and I cannot help it feel better.”
To her utter shock this is what the vet told her:
“Madam, your python is not sick. It’s preparing to eat you. Every time it creeps and hugs you, wrapping around your body, it’s checking your size to weigh how big a meal you are and how it should get prepared before attack. And yes, it doesn’t eat in order to make enough space to digest you more easily.”
She learned a valuable lesson that day: always be careful who you let get close to you. They might not always have your best intentions in mind, even if it seems like they do.
