Freelance website "Fastwork" seemed to have foreseen this dilemma as they offered a surprisingly different service as revealed by Coconuts Bangkok.
"Peerawit," the man behind the account wrote this in his job description: "You can hire me to be your boyfriend on Facebook for a week. During that time, we’ll change our relationship status. I will like your posts and pictures and go around leaving sweet comments that will leave your friends burning with jealousy. You can request what it is you want me to write, as well as limit how many 'likes' you want."
Although the man noted that his service is only available from 10 am to 10 pm due to his need for "beauty sleep."
Peerawit's Facebook service usually costs his client 250 Thai baht or 348 Philippine pesos.
He also offers meet ups and dates which costs up to 2,500 Thai baht or P3,487 which can go up to four hours a day in three days.
His offer includes posing for photos with the client as well as a family meet ups. However he also noted that he doesn't do sexual activities, and only offers "simple physical contact like holding hands."
"The experience I received was really good. My pictures and posts were liked and there were cute comments for others to see. Thank you very much. I'll come back again when I'm lonely," comments one satisfied client.
