Exclusive - WATCH HERE: Intense Floods Now Happening in Cagayan De Oro and Residents Are Stranded Without Electricity! Let's Pray for Them!

There have been reports of waist-deep floods in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay in Cagayan de Oro due to the rain caused by a low pressure area on Monday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomic Services Administration (PAGASA) already raised a yellow heavy rainfall warning as of 5 p.m. in Northern Mindanao, as well as in Zamboanga Peninsula (Western Mindanao), Caraga, and North Cotabato.

Residents uploaded live videos of the current situation. One was captured in Seriña St. Carmen.

In the clip, you could see the level of water rising to the tires of some cars. People were also seen pushing cars that got stuck.

In yet another uploaded video, residents who appeared to be on the upper level of their houses shared that they were all stranded inside because of the water on the streets.

There were also students stuck in their schools and had to be rescued by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD).

Electricity was also cut-off due to the flash floods. According to the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD),  68 families or 416 individuals in Macasandig searched for temporary shelter at the village covered court as of Monday evening.

PAGASA warns the people in CDO to watch out for possible landslides occurring in low-lying areas. As of this writing, there are no reported casualties of any kind.

Concerned netizens continue to spread the videos to help the people in CDO share their worsening condition and catch the attention of local authorities to take action.
