Exclusive - WATCH: PNP Chief Bato Dela Rosa Rocks Out At The Rakrakan 2017

Philippine National Police chief Director Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa proved that he is not only a rockstar as President Duterte’s right hand in eradicating the country’s drug problem, but he also showed that he can literally rock it out with a band on a stage.

Sporting his body-fit PNP shirt with his bicep and tricep game strong, the PNP chief performed the song “Darating” with Banda Ni Kleggy and Dello at the Rakrakan Festival 2017. After the song, he had a reminder for all the people who were still there.

"Ito lang po ang appeal ko sa inyo. Sana po kayong lahat... ay susuporta sa ating war on drugs.  Wala pong ibang hangad ang ating presidenteng Rodrigo Roa Duterte kundi linisin ang ating Pilipinas," he said.

He had some nice words for all the youth in attendance, and like some typical old-timer, he referred to how things were back in his day, saying that rock music and drugs used to go hand in hand.

In addition, he said that he was encouraged to see how so many musicians are not about that life and people should listen to them.

“Hindi kailangan maging durugista para maging rakista!,” Bato before he left the stage.

It was the first time that the festival had the theme that was anti-drugs and was influenced by the rave party incident that happened at a big mall in Pasay City last 2016.

After almost 8 months into the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte, police records and data gathered by Al Jazeera showed that the death toll in his anti-drug war has almost reached 6,000.
