Have you heard of the term double dead? The phrase can often be heard in wet markets where double dead meat are sold at a cheaper price with a higher risk of salmonella. But distressing as it might sound, in Russia there is a woman who was declared "double dead."

In 2011, Fagilyu Mukhametzyanov complained of experiencing chest pains to her husband. Her 51-year old husband rushed Fagilyu to the hospital. Now this is the part where it gets interesting. On their way, Fagilyu lost consciousness, so when they arrived at the hospital, the doctor concluded that she might have died of heart attack. 

Her husband was devastated and as it was not customary for them to embalm their deceased love ones, Fagilyu was not embalmed. 

On the second day of her wake, right before she was to be put in her final resting place, Fagilyu suddenly woke up and sat up in her coffin. She saw everybody praying for her soul and was mortified so she screamed. Frankly, who wouldn't at the situation, right? 

She again lost consciousness and, for the second time, was declared as dead. But this time, she really did die of  a heart attack. 

Her husband was enraged and horrified and planned to file a suit against the doctor. However, no further news about the progress of the lawsuit has been given to the press.
