Exclusive - Indian Medical Students Turned Away by Apartment Because of This Racist Reason!

Filipinos are well-known for their hospitality. An ideal Pinoy household is willing to provide comfort to guests and strangers alike. Unfortunately, not everyone can learn politeness and common decency.

A rather disappointing incident was posted on Facebook by netizen Cudlob Doow Lezah about discrimination in our shores.

Allegedly, medical students from India were turned away by a condo in Davao City and were forced to spend the night on the sidewalk. The original poster Lezah said that the Property Management Office made the decision to snub the Indian nationals. The medical students were awake all night trying to find an alternative place to stay while bringing all their luggage.

Reportedly, the Indian medical students along with Lezah and 3 other agents, had not yet eaten since arriving in at the apartment/condo. Their rotten luck didn’t stop there - they also had to sit under the rain!

What was the reason for this ill treatment? They were ignored by the Property Management Office because of the way they supposedly smell.

Certainly there is the common assumption that all Indian nationals have a distinct odor. However this shouldn’t be reason to mistreat students flying in from their homes to our country to learn.

The post was made on February 3, 2017 at 1:05am. As of writing, the post has garnered as a much as 2,100+ shares and 4.1K reactions on Facebook.

Netizens have voiced their opinions over the matter. Some were sympathetic to the needs of these kids.
