Veteran actress Dimples Romana visited her beloved father's grave at the Manila Memorial Park earlier today to commemorate his 16th death anniversary.
'The Greatest Love' star shared a heartfelt post on Instagram with her photo at the cemetery. She gave a touching message for him.
"Same day as today, 16 years ago my Papa Bong passed away due to aneurysm until this day we still miss him and everyday I pray to him and with him. God has been good to our family, but there is not one day that I do not wish he was here. Love you Papa." she wrote.
Romana was only 16 when her father died so she had to be the bread winner of the family. On a past interview with 'KrisTV' before, the actress emotionally recalled that they had to struggle after the loss. She entered the show business to help her sister who was diagnosed with Leukemia.
"Those years were really difficult for my family. Talagang babang baba. Kaya siguro ngayon mas matamis kapag may magandang nangyayari sa amin. My sister had leukemia when she was five. She passed away when she was eight. So while we were recuperating from that three long years, I asked my mama and papa to please sana magbigay sila sa amin ng baby ulit. Noong ipinanganak si Angeli, four months pa lang nag-aneurysm naman ang papa ko. So medyo mabigat sa amin ito," the actress said.
Romana is currently starring on ABS-CBN's drama series 'The Greatest Love' as the eldest daughter of Sylvia Sanchez's character. She is in the show with fellow talented artists Andi Eigenmann, Matt Evans, Arron Villaflor and Joshua Garcia.
The actress has two kids with husband Boyet Ahmee.
