The problem with many young people nowadays is that they fail to realize that youth is not forever and the day will come that they will have to go through old age.
The youth lacks empathy and understanding for the old and the things they have to go through.
Fortunately, some young guys like Marcus Pass understand this.
Marcus was enjoying his lunch in his favorite restaurant when he heard fits of laughter coming from a teenager over a supposed hilarious situation he saw in the bathroom.
Marcus decided to meddle and find out what was really going on.
Upon checking, Marcus saw a heartbreaking sight as an old man who was stuck in the toilet cried incessantly. The old man had no strength to get up.
Marcus did not see the humor in the situation. Instead, he asked the old man if he was okay.
The man admitted that he could not get up without his cane. After Marcus offered help, the old man unlocked the door, allowing Marcus to help him up. Marcus pulled the man's trousers up and even buckled his belt.
Despite his embarrassment over the situation, the old man was still not able to help himself as he gave Marcus a warm hug as he fought his tears back.
Not only this, Marcus even went to the teenager who was laughing at the man earlier, telling him to apologize.
Marcus' empathy for the old man should serve as a reminder to us. Soon we are going to become those old people and we need to make sure that we create a society that knows how to respect us no matter what our age is.
"We need more people like Marcus. Men and women...teach your children" commented Charlotte Gregory.
"Once again I aim my spotlight at those parents of the teen. I don't doubt that they love their child but something went wrong on their watch. They brought him into this world and he is their responsibility," says Marvin Mitchell Jr.
