Even with good intentions, some people are still bound to receive unnecessary remarks and accusations from the ones who they intend to help, no matter how pure their thoughts and actions might be.
This happened to fireman Carlo Feleciba, who helped Mercedes-Benz owner Dennis Sioson put out fire from his car on Wednesday, only to get accused of stealing the man's bag located inside. In a video released by GMA's '24 Oras,' bystander Jomon Belacas witnessed the luxury car as it burned along Batasan Road in Quezon City.
A fire truck immediately responded to the scene and Fire Officer 1 Feleciba retrieved the bag inside the burning Mercedes-Benz. Sioson thought that he stole the bag and accused him of committing theft. The fireman only responded, "Nakakasama lang ng loob. Bigla siyang nag-react ng 'di naaayon sa dapat niyang ikilos."
The Chief of the Quezon City Fire Station 2 explained that they have to open all the windows and doors of the Mercedes-Benz so that fire may immediately be doused. "May ventilation muna. Binubuksan namin 'yung mga ano, pintuan, kaso napagbintangan kami," Senior Fire Officer 4 Anthony Basas said.
Towards the end, Sioson approached Feleciba to apologize and shook hands with him, saying "Sir, pasensiya." Feleciba accepted his gesture and noted that a problem with the electrical wiring might be the cause of the Mercedes-Benz burning.
