A nun from Surigao Del Sur has been getting the attention of the netizens as she claims to have experienced a miracle from the late Archbishop Teofilo Camomot.
According to Mother Superior Rebecca Hawak of Poor Clare Monastery in Cantilan Surigao Del Sur, she had been enduring a big tumor in her right eye. Despite her condition, she went all the way to the Archbishop's grave and lied down in there. Miraculously, the tumor in her eye gradually became smaller, she claimed
Hawak further explained that the doctors refused to operate on her due to the delicate position of the tumor which can result in blindness. However, Hawak believes that it was Camomot who healed her and considers this as the biggest miracle of her life.
Many expressed hope that the incident will be recognized by the Catholic church in order to qualify Camomot for beatification. One of the major requirements of being recognized as a saint is the manifestation of miracles.
The Archdiocese of Cebu is already preparing all available documents and testimonies for the beatification.
